The question that is addressed in this article was how did Gingrich do in his latest debate. Some problems that were addressed were that Michele Bachmann gets her facts wrong and she shouldn't be a candidate for the president spot, another problem was Ron Paul's non-aggressive position towards Iran. The result that can affect public policy from Ron Paul's non-aggressive approach is that most Republicans are for being aggressive towards Iran, so the only people he can count to vote for him based on that view are the anti-war supporters. Another conclusion that might affect public policy is the way people see Michele Bachmann, after her performance in the last debate, people might not see her as a good candidate to run against Obama in 2012.
New information that I learned from this article was that Bachmann wanted to shut down the Fannie Mac and Freddie Mac. I learned that Gingrich wants to abolish the courts of activists judges, while Romney and Paul object this idea. I learned that Ron Paul is basically the only republican that has a non-aggressive position toward Iran.
The position taken by the author I think is more towards Newt Gingrich's side than any other candidate. She is definitely not on Michele Bachmann's side, stating that "if you have to say you're a serious candidate, there's room for doubt." when Bachmann said that she was a serious candidate for president. The impact this article can have on the political arena today isn't a very big one. I think this article just briefing explains what happened in the debate. The debate can change people's views on certain candidates like Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, and Rick Santorum who didn't have the best showing at their last debate and people might have some doubts about them. But it could give Gingrich a positive impact because he was under attack almost the whole debate, but he didn't back down and made a strong push and shined all through the second half of the debate.

The problem addressed by this article is whether or not Mitt Romney can regain momentum in the GOP presidential contest. It addressed how Romney tried to get Tea Party voters more on his side by picking up an endorsement of governor Nikki Haley, who was one of the tea party's successes in 2010. Results that might affect public policy are which way the tea party voters and evangelical voters vote in Iowa and South Carolina. Romney is strong in New Hampshire because they are more aligned with his approach, the problem is how many votes he would get in Iowa and South Carolina.
New information that i learned was that Mitt Romney is almost for sure going to win New Hampshire, that he thinks that bank regulations and the healthcare overhaul by Obama is harmful to small businesses. Also, that Newt Gingrich has passed Romney in some polls, but Gingrich's strength is losing momentum due to a good amount of attack ads from other candidates. I could use this information given by getting a closer look at how Romney is going about trying to win these three states by getting on tea party and evangelical voter's "good side". I can also use it by seeing how Newt Gingrich's campaign is slowly declining due to attack ads from his opposition. I don't think the author of this article really takes any position in this article, he's pretty neutral.

The problem that Huntsman addressed in this interview was the deficit of trust here in the United States. He says that the people don't trust Congress, the Executive branch, or wall street because of banks that are too big to fail. He says that members of congress need term limits so they can "close the revolving door that allows members of congress to move right on into the lobbying profession. Another problem that was addressed was how Huntsman is going to get himself to the top of the Primary from where he is now, which is basically at the bottom.
The result that can affect public policy is whether or not the people agree with Huntsman's beliefs that members of Congress need term limits and that someone has to take on banks who are too big to fail. Another result is how will Huntsman's strategy in basically forgetting about winning Iowa and putting a lot of his time in trying to come out around the top in New Hampshire is going to affect him as the race goes on.
New information that i learned from this interview is that people want Congress members to have term limits and that the citizens of the United States really don't trust their government like they should. I could use this information by helping me decide on who would I want from the Republican side to run against Obama for the Presidency of the United States because it shows me how one person, Huntsman, acts towards getting things done if chosen president.
The author doesn't really take a position, she just asked some general questions and listened to what John Huntsman had to say. The impact this article can have on the political arena today I don't think would be a very big one. Maybe, people would understand where Huntsman is coming from, and even other Republican candidates can add on to some things that Huntsman pointed out, in particular, their views on the deficit of trust in the United States.

Perry makes more errors in interview

Topic: Rick Perry states his views in an interview
Summary
Problems or questions that this article addressed could be about how many people in Iowa would vote for Perry based on his beliefs and policies he wants to add or get rid of if elected president. Results that may affect public policy are the way that people react to Perry's views on gay's rights and religion. Even people in his own team disagree with him on some aspects of it. All of the results gotten so far, mostly go towards the feelings that people would not vote for him due to these kinds of views on certain situations he has.
There wasn't really any "new" information that i learned from this article, a lot of it is information that anybody that's keeping somewhat of an eye on this race would know. I feel as though the author's view on this article is neutral, he's just trying to relay information to the people that he thinks they need to know to make the best decision possible.

Topic: Tensions rise on Republican side between Gingrich and Romney
Summary
The problems that are addressed in this article are that a lot of the Republican candidates are making ads toward Newt Gingrich saying that he isn't the same person as people think he is, and even called him "a serial hypocrite". There are a lot of results from all of these ads and interviews done by the Republican candidates that can affect the way the public views some of them. One way is that it might get the public thinking about Gingrich and is he really the man that he claims he is. But then it'll get people thinking about Romney because he supports some of "Obamacare" and not a lot of Republicans agree with it.
Some new information that I learned was that there are actually some Republicans that agree with some policies that are made by Democrats that a lot of other Republicans really don't agree with. Another thing that i learned was that Mitt Romney worked in a private sector for about 17 years. I could use this information by helping me understand what some of these candidates stand for and their beliefs and if i was able to vote, would help me figure out who to vote for.
The author doesn't really take a position on this article, so i would say it's neutral. This article, i think, could have a big impact on the political arena today because it kind of shines a different light on some of the candidates, especially Newt Gingrich, which could change some people's opinion about him.
